The animated film "The Raman effect" is a scientific presentation of so-called "Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy" showing how it is possible to determine the contents of a molecule based on the scattering of light from the molecule.
The film was developed through an intense joint effort between scientists and animators that proved challenging to both parties. It was produced by Mark Film in cooperation with the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and The Animation Workshop.
